Main difference is between the parts. Both parts used are good, but AK-I parts are made with higher quality and you can really feel that when working with these tufting guns. AK-I are longer lasting. Other main difference why professional would choose for example AK-I rather than TD-I is because of the speed of the motor. TD-I motor is little too much fast and less controllable from regular models. It is harder to do details with this model. Some people also do not like the small trigger point and prefer flat trigger point found at other tufting guns.
